Notus is a city in Canyon County, Idaho, United States. The population was 458 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Boise City–Nampa, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2), all of it land.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 458 people, 147 households, and 113 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,160.7 people per square mile (453.4/km²). There were 156 housing units at an average density of 395.4 per square mile (154.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 86.90% White, 1.31% Native American, 0.66% Asian, 8.73% from other races, and 2.40% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 22.05% of the population.
There were 147 households out of which 44.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.6% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.1% were non-families. 18.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.12 and the average family size was 3.58.
In the city the population was spread out with 33.4% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 20.1% from 45 to 64, and 11.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 31 years. For every 100 females there were 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.0 males.
